Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
